Description
Outstanding TIG welding characteristics thanks to inverter technology Distinguished by their high efficiency and superb welding characteristics, inverters utilise digital software control technology that has a significant influence on the outcome of the welding process. The SmartBase expert database provides for optimum arc conditions SmartBase is the name of the expert database devised by Lorch to control the arc. This database lets you adjust the parameter settings yourself, giving you the freedom you need to tweak and correct even the finest details of the process you are applying.
pulse and fast pulse up to 2 kHz The standard pulse function with up to 2 kHz that is built into every machine offers you additional benefits when welding thin plates.
TipTronic. Using the TipTronic facility, you save your ideal setting for each weld so that you can effortlessly retrieve the settings one at a time using the Up-Down or Powermaster torch when performing recurring welding tasks.
Electrode welding function. Electrode welding with Hotstart, Anti-Stick and Arc-Force regulation: The automatic Hotstart feature guarantees perfect ignition every time, while the Anti-Stick system reliably prevents the electrode from sticking, and Arc-Force regulation supports the welding process when you are dealing with difficult electrodes.
remote control Welders often experience that the conditions on site do not allow them to place their welding machine right beside them. When faced with this type of situation, they find the use of a remote control helpful as it allows them to intervene and adjust the welding current if necessary. This is why Lorch has included a large variety of different hand and foot remote controls in their T series, which are ready for use right away thanks to their plug&play support.
Optional equipment. While designed for mobile applications, the Lorch T 300 can be converted into a handy, yet fully capable machine suitable for use in the workshop by upgrading it with an optional water cooling system. When mounted on an optional Maxi Trolley, it fully retains its mobile capabilities even with the water cooling system fitted.
changeover DC to AC Available as DC and AC/DC versions in all power variants, Lorch's T series provides you with maximum flexibility.

Professional TIG welding of steel and aluminium; Welding material thicknesses exceeding 8mm (aluminium); Thin sheet welding with pulse function; Applications requiring reduced heat application and minimal distortion
The fully integrated wire feeder with a separate, removable control panel and highly accurate cold wire control reliably feeds the filler material into the weld pool to achieve the greatest TIG productivity. A 4-roll quality feed motor ensures reliable, precise wire feeding. Digital speed monitoring ensures a perfect weld seam. As the welding current is increased, the automatic setting will automatically adjust the feed rate to match. The downward sloping wire to roller position exit ensures easy wire change over as well as reliable wire feeding, even with aluminium wires.
Aluminium TIG welding requires alternating current (AC). Since aluminium is a very good heat conductor, a higher current is required for every additional millimetre of material thickness. The TF-Pro 300 also welds aluminium with material thicknesses in excess of 8 mm easily. Beyond this, the AC mode optimises the current waveform for greatest stability, outstanding cleaning effect of the aluminium oxide skin and reduced noise. The integrated automatic cap shaping function ensures perfect tungsten ball shape as well.
The additional special Lorch MACS (Modulated AC System) process improves welding quality by way of targeted heat application. MACS provides outstanding results, in particular when joining different material thicknesses.
The integrated pulse and fast pulse function at up to 2 kHz is particularly suitable for processing thin welding sheets. It enables outstanding weld pool control for perfect results even at difficult welding tasks.
The interval spot function reduces heat application. This is of special benefit for welding tasks where disortion and dark temper colours must be avoided, e.g. when processing thin sheets.
The integrated stand-by function ensures turns individual components on and off automatically. The Thermocontrol sensors monitor system temperature and adjust the fan as required to reduce fan noise, dust load inside the machine, and power consumption.
The TF-Pro housing is extremely robust and mobile thanks to its sturdy handles. This makes it ideal for use in a workshop. The top of the housing also makes for a perfect storage surface.
Country-specific product variants are available for this Lorch welding unit. These may differ in the mains supply, the mains plug or other product features required for the country. You want to know more? Contact your local Lorch partner.
